How it's calculated

Internet providers advertise speed in megabits per second (Mbps), but download managers show speed in megabytes per second (MB/s). Since 1 byte equals 8 bits, converting Mbps to MB/s means dividing by 8.

MB/s = Mbps ÷ 8
