How to use the classroom timer
Enter how many minutes the activity will last and press 'Start'. The number is shown large so it's readable from the back of the room.
When time is up, the tool plays a sound alert so you don't have to keep watching the screen.
Worked example
For a 20-minute exam, set 20 in the minutes field, press 'Start' and project the screen; an alert will sound when time's up.
Frequently asked questions
- How is this different from the regular timer?
- It uses the same countdown, but with a display designed for projecting: large numbers and high contrast.
- Can I use it for several activities in a row?
- Yes, press 'Reset' between activities to set a new duration.
